Drove out Woodward from State St. to Meijers--11 houses for sale just on that one street. For sale signs all over town, What's going on?


Rumor has it that a restaurant is going in downtown between the new Pioneer location ( the old Dibbles, Ben Franklin, carpet store) and Pepper's Cafe (the old Western Auto). The spot was the Pet Palace for more than 20 years. It closed this past winter (they retired).

A new strip mall is being built between Meijers and Wal-Mart. It's too bad that some of the empty stores aren't filled first.

The new Eastgate Lanes in the old Denny's grocery building should be opening later this summer. It's nice to have that building being used. Supposed to have a full service restaurant in there in addition yo bowling, pool tables and video games. Hope it goes well, we need another place to go to in town. Now if someone will just do something with the old Carter's and Rite Aid buildings.
